Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is reportedly coming to Halifax, NS according to Halifax ReTales.
If true, the Halifax location will represent the brand’s first and only location east of Ontario.
Halifax ReTales reports the new Popeyes will be located on Hogan Court in a “free standing building directly across the parking lot from the new Esso” in the Halifax community of Bedford.
Founded in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1972, Popeyes is an American fast-food chain that specializes in fried chicken. It’s currently a subsidiary of Toronto-based Restaurant Brands International (RBI), the parent company of Tim Hortons and Burger King.
Popeyes is credited with starting the now infamous “Chicken Sandwich War.”
