Talk about a tasty twist – Tim Hortons in the USA will be joining in on Canada 150 celebrations this year by serving a limited-edition Poutine Donut on July 1, 2017.
While Tim Hortons here at home is offering a line of Canadian-themed treats in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, the Poutine Donut is not among the items being offered in Canada.
It’s not unusual for the iconic “Canadian” brand to offer items exclusively in the US that many of us would like to see available north of the border. A prime example of that would be the Timbits Donut Bouquet, which was available exclusively in Tim Hortons US locations for Mother’s Day this past May.
For poutine lovers, the Tim Hortons US version of the iconic dish features a Honey Dip Donut topped with potato wedges, gravy and cheese curds. The Poutine Donut is priced at $1.49 (USD).
In addition to the Poutine Donut (which we want!) select US locations will also be serving Maple Timbits (available in Canada) and the Maple Bacon Iced Capp.
The limited edition Maple Bacon Iced Capp is a standard Iced Capp topped with whipped cream, maple flakes and bacon bits. The drink is priced at $3.49 (USD) for a medium. We’d like one of these as well!
Tim Hortons Canadian-inspired menu items will be available at select US locations on Saturday, July 1, 2017. After that, they’re gone for good.
