The Keg Steakhouse is closing all restaurants across Canada due to COVID-19.

All locations will temporarily close for business effective at the close of business on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, with the exception of restaurants in Toronto, which were ordered by the city to close at midnight on Monday, March 16.

In a statement posted on its website and social media channels, the chain said “Although this is a difficult decision, we feel it is best for you, our Guests, our Keg employees, our partners, and our community as a whole.”

“We are sensitive to the implications of this decision to our staff and will continue to support them by providing resources to minimize their financial burden. We will be in close contact with each of them and look forward to having them back to help host your next night out when we reopen.”
