Campbell Company of Canada is recalling a flavour of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says 180-gram and 69-gram packages of Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers are being recalled.

The products impacted by the recall include 180-gram packages with best before dates of January and February 2019. The 69-gram packages carry best before dates for January 2019 only.

The CFIA says the recall was triggered by a recall in another country. The federal agency says it is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with eating of these products.
