whats price
Post the link to the new commercial
When you have a new menue item you should give the price. I would love to try the cod burger but with the price of gas I am not going to drive a half hour to A&W to find the price. if prices are different in different provinces post the price in each province. i am in BC so I expect the price would be lower than the provinces without ocean access.
It was a disappointment .. the actual burger and wrap does not look anything like the pics. IMHO MacDonald’s fillet o fish tastes better.
i had both the burger and the wrap…it is so good. it tastes like a proper piece of fish from a fish and chip shop…not a burger. it was perfect texture and while a filet o fish from mcdonalds tastes fine, A&w version tastes more real and healthy. More protein too. 34 grams in the burger so I assume 17 for the wrap.
Delicious. I could eat it everyday.
What a huge disappointment..wish I had ordered my usual teen burger..The picture behind the counter show a nice big piece of cod..tarter sauce spilling over..topped with mound of coleslaw. Topped with a nice bun…yum right? NOT…what I got was two greasy pieces, if you can call them pieces..more like a flatten (chicken finger) with maybe a teaspoon of fish incased in the grease.. A dab..literally a dab of something white..didnt taste like tarter anything..and best part…about 5 strands of cabbage (not creamy coleslaw..oh did it say “tangy”? oh no that was the white tarter stuff) Nicely toasted bun….nope …my greasy fish fingers were flatten between 2 right from the fridge (McDonald like dough buns) Guess the toaster didnt work. The whole thing was maybe 1 1/2″ high..Nice for $5.99 . So I took it over to the Manager behind the counter..and relayed my dismay…he takes it and yells to the kitchen “add more coleslaw” WHAT? no refire,? sorry.? ..I said its slapped together…no response. DONT waste your money…all A&W’s I assume have the same standards, but the product itself was not as advertised, and corporate sends that crap out. I fault the store for my customer service..but definitely some awesome photoshopping was done for the shiny displays..oh and the TV commercials….Disappointed in Calgary
Disappointed in Winnipeg too! We skipped our usual teen burger for this and based on the TV ads, thought we were in for a treat! One word…tasteless!! No tartar sauce or “tangy” coleslaw to be found! $13.52 for two…what a rip-off!!!
Cod is real expensive like 20 bucks a lb. Only two places serve it up cheap like 15 bucks each full double order and in a big bag filled with newspaper. Soy free!
Make your own with a beer batter. Your gut is your life detox or abstinence in order from time to time.
I tried a chicken buddy for 2.50 and McDonald’s mcchicken much bigger back in their promo days.

I have enjoyed A&W hamburgers and fries for many years and especially the Root Beer. The only regret I have is your fish burger and wrap because the more the batter the less the good taste of fish.
I finally tried the cod burger today and for it and a small root beer for $5.10 I was pretty impressed. It was real fish, nice and moist. I hope it stays the same : )
