Tim Hortons is opening for business in Mexico as part of a master franchise joint venture with a group of investors in the country.
Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI), which owns the iconic Canadian brand said the joint venture company will be the master franchisee of Tim Hortons in Mexico.
In 2016, RBI announced similar agreements in the Philippines and Great Britain.
Tim Hortons first opened for business in Canada in 1964 and expanded into the US 20 years later in 1984. Today, Tim Hortons operates across Canada, parts of the US and Middle East.
