A new fast food giant is setting up shop in Winnipeg and chances are you’ve probably never heard of them. Jollibee is a massive Filipino multinational chain of restaurants based out of the Philippines that is often referred to as Asia’s answer to McDonald’s.
The chain is set to open its first Canadian store in Winnipeg on Thursday, December 15, 2016. The brand specializes in burgers, spaghetti, fried chicken, and peach mango pie.
Jollibee currently operates 34 stores in the United States. The new Winnipeg location marks the chain’s 35th store in North America, with at least three or four more coming to Canada over the next couple of years.
