With the safety of its customers top of mind, Pizza Pizza is rolling out new tamper proof pizza boxes.
Pizza Pizza’s new Tamper Proof Pizza Box features a safety locking mechanism that must be broken by the customer to access the pizza inside. The box provides an extra level of assurance that the pizza is untouched, from the moment it leaves the oven, to the time it arrives at its destination.
The brand aims to have the new pizza boxes available in all sizes at all 420 restaurants across Canada by the end of April 2020.
Additionally, the chain is also offering Contactless Delivery. To choose Contactless Delivery, select Pay in App as your payment method. In the Special Instructions field, let Pizza Pizza know where you would like the delivery driver to leave your pizza by entering “Contactless delivery. Leave on doorstep.” If you live in a condo, you can enter “Leave at lobby” in this field.
The delivery driver will notify you when they arrive by knocking on your door, ringing the doorbell/buzzer, or simply with a friendly phone call.
The driver will leave your pizza on a safe surface and step back a comfortable distance while waiting for you to pick up your order before leaving.
