Pizza Hut Canada and autonomous sidewalk delivery company Serve Robotics have teamed up to test robot delivery in Vancouver B.C. now through September 30, 2022.
Pizza Hut on 1725 Robson Street in Vancouver was selected as the first location for the test. Customers selected for robotic delivery will be able to use the Pizza Hut app to track the robot’s location as their order approaches and will receive a unique, one-time pin to retrieve their order from the robot’s secure compartment.
“We’re always looking for ways to enhance our customer service and deliver hot, fresh, and delicious menu favourites to our customers. Pizza Hut is thrilled to be at the forefront of this technology and partner with Serve Robotics to bring this offering to Canada for the first time,” Manish Dhankher, director of operations at Pizza Hut Canada said in a statement.
