Cindicom Cinema Services is teaming up with Scotia Speedworld for the launch of the Speedway Drive-in – the largest drive-in theatre east of Montreal – located at the Scotia Speedworld site near the Halifax Stanfield International Airport starting June 17, 2022.
The drive-in – which can accommodate over 600 vehicles – will feature new release movies from around the globe on a massive inflatable 40 x 60-foot open-air screen.
Top Gun: Maverick will be the first movie featured at the pop-up drive-in when it officially opens for business on June 17, 2022.
Regular adult admission is set at $15, while children 14 and under pay $7.50 and kids under six get in free.
On Tuesdays – cheap night – adults get in for $11, couples get in for $18, while children 14 and under pay $6. A carload costs $40.
The box offices open at 7:00pm nightly, with shows starting at dusk. You can tune through your car radio at 88.7FM to listen to the movie sound.
According to Speedway Drive-in, the 2022 racing schedule will not be impacted by the drive-in. On Friday nights the drive-in will be hosted in the Scotia Speedworld overflow parking lot.
