As economies slowly but surely open across the country, Tim Hortons is adapting to the new norm by opening upwards of 1,000 outdoor patios at restaurants across Canada by early July.
In a statement, Tim Hortons chief operating officer said the chain plans to expand the number of outdoor seating areas at its restaurants across the country.
“Overall, we are planning to open upwards of 1,000 new patios across Canada by transforming existing outdoor spaces to allow our guests and their friends and families to sit and enjoy their Tim Hortons favourites outside our restaurants,” Hancock said in a statement.
The announcement comes as provinces across the country reveal plans to reopen their economies following Canada-wide COVID-19 lockdowns that effectively shut down economies from coast to coast to coast.
