Beginning September 30, 2019, McDonald’s Canada will launch a Beyond Meat plant-based protein burger at select test locations in Ontario.
McDonald’s is calling the new burger a P.L.T. – Plant. Lettuce. Tomato – a play on the brand’s popular line of B.L.T. sandwiches.
Priced at $6.49, the P.L.T. features a plant-based patty made with Beyond Meat and comes served on a sesame seed bun with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, a mayo-style sauce, ketchup, mustard, and a slice of processed cheddar cheese.
The 12-week test will be conducted at 28 participating locations in Southwestern Ontario.
