Maine-based retailer L.L. Bean is set to open its first retail location in Canada.
The new 13,000 square foot store will open on August 23, 2019 in Oakville Place, just outside Toronto, through an exclusive agreement with Canadian distributor Jaytex Group.
Founded in the United States in 1912, the expansion into Canada represents the brand’s first-ever Canadian retail location in the company’s 107-year history.
The company will celebrate its Canadian debut with special festivities from Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25, 2019. The first 100 people in line on Friday will receive an exclusive offer, while the festive weekend will feature games, giveaways, family activities as well as an appearance of the brand’s iconic Bootmobile.
L.L. Bean currently operates 44 stores in the United States, along with 28 stores in Japan.
