CJF Honours CBC's Peter Mansbridge With Lifetime Achievement Award (CJF)

In recognition of his exceptional career as the former anchor of The National and chief correspondent for CBC News, Peter Mansbridge will be presented with the Canadian Journalism Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the CJF Awards tonight in Toronto.

The Globe and Mail’s Robyn Doolittle will host the annual event which is being held at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York Thursday night.

Award-winning comedian and actor Sean Cullen will be the live announcer for the evening, while Juno-winning singer-songwriter Sarah Harmer and The Beaverton’s co-anchors Emma Hunter and Miguel Rivas will perform.

This year’s media guests include: Ian Austen, Dave Bidini, Ian Brown, Robert Benzie, Dianne Buckner, Kevin Donovan, Dwight Drummond, Dawna Friesen, Matt Galloway, Chantal Hébert, Carolyn Jarvis, Nil Köksal, Lisa LaFlamme, Kevin Newman, Diana Swain, Tanya Talaga and Anna Maria Tremonti, among others.
