After a successful four-month pilot in Ontario, McDonald’s Canada introduces its new bagels menu nationwide Thursday.
Participating locations will be offering bagels in four varieties – the Everything Bagel, Multigrain Bagel, and the Cinnamon and Raisin Bagel. McDonald’s restaurants in Quebec will offer the popular Sesame Bagel instead of the Everything Bagel.
Consumers can also enjoy their favourite bagel with butter, or two kinds of cream cheese – original, and herb and garlic.
Here’s a closer look at the new bagels menu:
Cinnamon and Raisin Bagel – A toasted bagel made with cinnamon and raisins.
Everything Bagel – Made with onion, garlic and sunflower seeds, topped with sesame seeds, poppy seed and roasted onion.
Multigrain Bagel – Made with white and whole grain flour and a multigrain seeds blend. Then topped with a blend of sesame, flax and millet.
Plain Bagel – Crispy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside.
Sesame Bagel – A plain bagel topped with sesame seeds (available in Quebec).
Bagel Breakfast Sandwiches
Bagels will also be featured in the following three breakfast sandwiches:
The BLT Bagel – Hickory-smoked bacon, sliced tomato and lettuce, topped with a mayonnaise-style sauce. Served on your choice of a regular or multigrain bagel.
The Bacon ‘N Egg Bagel – Your choice of a regular or multigrain bagel, sandwiching hickory-smoked bacon, a freshly-cracked Canada Grade A egg, and a slice of processed cheddar cheese.
The Egg LT Bagel – A freshly-cracked Canada Grade A egg, sliced tomato, lettuce and a slice of processed cheddar cheese. Served on your choice of a regular or multigrain bagel.
McDonald’s bagels are baked fresh daily and the selection decreases throughout the day.
