Elton John Announces Farewell Tour, With 5 Canadian Stops

Elton John is retiring from the road, but only after he completes a new three-year global tour set to kick off this September.

The 70-year-old award-winning singer, pianist and composer announced his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour during an event in New York on Wednesday.

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will consist of more than 300 shows across five continents, hitting North America, Europe and the Middle East, Asia, South America and Australasia before reaching its conclusion in 2021.

The new stage production will take fans on a musical and highly visual journey spanning a 50-year career of hits like never seen before.

Tickets for the first shows in North America go on sale to the general public beginning February 2 at 10 a.m. local time.

Here’s a list of the only five tour dates currently confirmed for Canada:

Toronto: September 25, 2018 – Air Canada Centre
Toronto: September 26, 2018 – Air Canada Centre
Ottawa: September 28, 2018 – Canadian Tire Centre
Quebec City: September 29 – Videotron Centre
Montreal: October 4, 2018 – Bell Centre

Additional North America shows are expected to be announced in the coming months.

John is married to Toronto native David Furnish. The couple have two sons.
