Award-winning business journalist and anchor Amanda Lang is set to rejoin Business News Network (BNN) in January.
“I’m extremely excited to return home to BNN, where I originally began my career in Canadian broadcasting,” Lang said in a statement.
In addition to her role on BNN, Lang will also report for other Bell Media properties including CTV News and iHeartRadio.
Lang was part of the team that launched BNN’s predecessor, ROBTV, in 1999, after her start in journalism at The Globe and Mail and then the National Post.
In 2009, Lang left BNN to join the CBC as its senior business correspondent where she anchored The Exchange with Amanda Lang daily on CBC News Network.
On October 13, 2015, CBC announced Lang was leaving the public broadcaster effective 16 October, for what was described at the time as “a new opportunity outside the CBC in television.”
Most recently she worked as an anchor for Bloomberg Television Canada.
