Canada’s second-largest movie theatre chain has reached an agreement to be acquired by Belgian firm Kinepolis Group.
Calgary-based Landmark Cinemas says the sale is subject to Canadian regulatory approvals. The deal is reportedly valued at $123 million.
Founded in 1965, Landmark operates 44 cinemas and a total of 303 screens throughout Western Canada, Ontario and the Yukon Territory including five IMAX, four ‘Extra’ and one ‘Xtreme’ screen.
