Streaming content of Netflix Canada just got more expensive as the service announced its first price increase in nearly two years.
The price hike will take effect immediately for new subscribers, while existing members will see the increase after Netflix notifies them via email in the coming weeks.
Here’s a look at the new pricing scheme:
The standard plan, which allows members to stream on two screens simultaneously, will increase by a dollar to $10.99 a month.
The basic plan, which does not include HD video and is limited to just one screen also increases by a buck to $8.99 per month.
For premium subscribers, you’ll have to pay 2 bucks more a month ($13.99), for ultra high-definition 4K content with the ability to stream on four screens simultaneously.
