There will be a second season of Hulu’s breakout hit The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu announced Wednesday. The television series is based on Margaret Atwood’s award-winning 1985 dystopian novel of the same name.
In Canada, season 2 of the series will air on Bravo.
Produced by Hulu and MGM Television, The Handmaid’s Tale is about a male-dominated, totalitarian society in which women are stripped of their rights and treated as property of the state.
Look for the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale to premiere in 2018.
The first season of the 10-episode series was filmed in Toronto from September 2016 to February 2017. Atwood served as a consulting producer.
