Various Brands Of Pie And Tart Shells Recalled Due To E. Coli Contamination

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says various brands of pie and tart shells are being recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.

The agency indicated the shells in question are produced by Edmonton-based Harlan Bakeries and were sold under a variety of brand names across Canada.

The best-before dates on the affected shells range from November 24, 2017, through December 21, 2017.

The Deep Dish Pie Shells, Sweetened Tart Shells and Tart Shells (various sizes) are sold under the following brand names:

  • No Name Brands
  • Great Value
  • Apple Valley
  • Western Family

The CFIA says there have been no reported illnesses associated with the recalled products.

Consumers are being advised not consume the recalled products.
