Known for its friendly people, bars and pizza corner, Halifax is gearing up for another entry into the crowded bar scene as the national chain Bier Markt prepares to open its doors for business in the city’s downtown core this summer.
On Monday, several listings for various positions at Bier Markt’s yet to be announced “Downtown Halifax” location appeared on Workopolis. The job listings for chefs and managers were all posted by Bier Markt’s parent company Cara on January 9.
Incidentally, the listing for chef contained a couple typos. As you can see from the screengrab below, “Heck,” should read “Check” and the most embarrassing of course is the fact that they misspelled Nova “Scoatia.” Unless of course that’s how millennials spell it today.
Here’s a screengrab from Workopolis showing the job listings:
Here’s how Bier Markt describes itself:
We believe Bier is beautiful.
We draw inspiration from Northern Europe – its culture, its passion for food and of course it’s dedication to the beautiful art of brewing. We welcome you to explore and discover a unique Bier and food experience that begins with over 150 Biers from over 30 countries perfectly paired with from scratch European cuisine and perfectly poured to the soundtrack of live music.
Cara remains tight-lipped on exactly where the Halifax Bier Markt will be located.
