Matthew Perry revealed an interesting story during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday. The former Friends star confessed to beating up Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when he was 10-years-old.
As Perry tells it, he and Trudeau attended the same school together as kids, where Trudeau excelled in sports. Despite being 2-years older than Trudeau at the time, Perry said he and his friend Chris Murray beat up the younger Trudeau out of “pure jealousy.”
Interestingly enough, Trudeau’s dad, Pierre, was prime minister at the time. “His dad was prime minister at the time but that wasn’t the reason we beat him up. I think he was the only kid in school that we could beat up,” Perry told Kimmel.
Perry also admitted he wasn’t proud of it. “I’m not bragging about this. This is terrible. I was a stupid kid and I didn’t want to beat him up. In fact, I think at some point I tried to turn it into love-play… But I think I was rather instrumental in him going to such great heights and becoming prime minister.”
