Like many Canadians, I’m a big fan of the show, but I have a confession to make. I’ve been watching History’s US broadcast, which airs new episodes almost a week before they’re broadcast in Canada. Loyal follows of the show will know that the 2-hour season finale promises a big find! “All the hard work pays off,” we’re told in the season finale episode teaser below. Finally, after a decade of searching, brothers Rick and Marty Lagina have hit pay dirt. Yes, the brothers have actually been searching for the elusive treasure on Oak Island for almost a decade, at a reported  cost of $3.5 million (US). The teaser looks promising! Watch for yourself.

So, what exactly did the boys find? A button and some metal debris. Honestly, I was expecting a coin, or something along that line. But the producers of the show have been doing this to us for the entire season. The moment you believe something big is about to be revealed… POOF… nothing.

Will there be a Season 5? I wouldn’t bet against it at this point, but we’ll have to wait and see. And just to be clear, I’ll be watching!
