TSN will be delivering broom-to-broom coverage of the 2017 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts – Canada’s national women’s curling championship – beginning Saturday, February 18, 2017.
Among the 11-team field, only three rinks are returning from last year’s championship. Chelsea Carey’s rink is back as Team Canada, while two-time Scotties champion Rachel Homan represents Ontario, and 2016 silver medallist Krista McCarville, is back to represent Northern Ontario. Saskatchewan’s Penny Barker makes her debut this year in St. Catharines, while PEI’s Robyn MacPhee makes her first tournament appearance as skip.
You can catch Draw 1 this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on TSN
Play-By-Play and Analysis
Calling the action for 2017 is play-by-play announcer Vic Rauter alongside analyst, and two-time Brier champ Russ Howard, and 2010 Olympic silver medallist Cheryl Bernard, and three-time Scotties champion Cathy Gauthier. TSN’s Bryan Mudryk delivers the call for morning draws with Gauthier providing analysis.
