Tim Hortons new Mexican Chipotle Soup with Chicken features beans, corn, chipotle spice and chicken.
I picked up a bowl of the new soup for $3.78 on its own. I could have included a sandwich or a wrap of my choice for a total of $5.99, as part of the Perfect Pairings promotion. If I was with a friend, I would have definitely taken advantage of the deal.
The soup arrived hot and smelled great. Although I found it could have used more chicken, I was satisfied with the portion size. I’m not a fan of heat, so the relatively mild heat from this dish was welcomed. There’s a bit of an aftertaste, but that didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the soup. I can see how this soup would work well with any number of Tim Hortons sandwiches. Hindsight is 20/20 of course.
Overall I like the new soup, but it’s not something I’d rave about. I’d order it again, but with something a little more substantial, like a sandwich. I think this would go well with bread and dipping!

I agree, this soup is delicious. And yes, paired with one of Tim’s sandwiches (like the Philly steak or the Italiano) it’s perfect! I’ve had it twice this week already. The cumin flavour is pretty bold in it and it does have a spicy kick to it. If you like those two elements, you’ll love it. Perfect for a cold winter’s day.
Anyone know a recipe that’s close this meal? Even in the slow cooker..
I’ve had this soup 3 times now. Not once was there any chicken!!
No chicken in this soup!!
OMG it’s addictive. I need a recipe!
I desperately need the RECIPE for this soup! The tim hortons in my college campus has been ran out this delicious soup for whole week! I went to there check everyday. Wanna have the recipe and try to cook by myself.
I, too, want the recipe from Tim Hortons. Love the chipotle soup and have looked at all other sites to find one that is close. Please, bring it to us.
